Introduction to the Marine Science and Education Museum of Guangxi University
Located on the first floor of the Comprehensive Experimental Building, the Marine Science and Education Museum of Guangxi University covers an area of 1400 square meters, of which the actual exhibition area is 1270 square meters. The museum aims to promote the development of marine disciplines and the cultivation of marine science talents, while showcasing the educational characteristics and scientific research achievements of Guangxi University. The Museum has played an important role especially in promoting the efforts of the autonomous region and the whole nation to solve marine economic and strategic issues. To share marine science knowledge and strengthen science education, the interior exhibition design in the museum integrates the needs of students, social personnel, research experts, and leaders, aiming to become a leading marine science exchange platform with coral reef research as its characteristic, both domestically and internationally. In addition, the museum is also a practical base for public elective courses for students at Guangxi University and a core area for marine science education.

The exhibition hall is divided into five parts: "Blue Realm", "Charm of the Ocean", "Journey to the Sea", "Exploration of the Sea", and "Foundation of Dreams". Mainly about coral reef research, the museum showcases the development of marine science and the achievements of Guangxi University in the field of marine research from a historical perspective to future prospects, and from a global and local perspective. The "Blue Realm" section shows the historical development of marine science from ancient to modern times. It also introduces marine knowledge focusing on oceans in the world and in Guangxi, so as to showcase the unique charm of coral reefs. The "Charm of the Ocean", "Journey to the Sea", and "Exploration of the Sea" sections delve into themes such as biological ecosystems, marine environmental protection, and marine scientific exploration, showcasing Guangxi University's efforts and scientific research achievements in serving the construction of islands and reefs in the South China Sea. The "Foundation of Dreams" section showcases Guangxi's strong strength and future development in the field of marine science, inspiring audiences' expectations for the future of marine science. In addition, the establishment of an indoor coral breeding platform showcases over 1000 live corals, further enriching the scientific and educational content in the museum and providing the public with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of coral ecology.
